Intrepid extends agent incentive to May 31, adds extra spot on Nepal fam

TORONTO — Intrepid Group is celebrating Travel Agent Day with an extra ‘Agent Appreciation’ spot on its Nepal fam this November.

Intrepid is also extending its largest purpose-driven agent incentive in the Americas until May 31.

Shayna Zand, head of business development in the Americas for Intrepid, says turning Travel Agent Day into a month-long celebration – and extending the incentive, and adding an additional spot on the Nepal fam – reiterates the important part travel agents have played in Intrepid’s growth.

“The intent of the Purpose-Driven Agent incentive is to celebrate travel agents who are making a difference by selling our style of travel – which benefits travellers and the places they visit – to their clients,” said Zand. “What better way to show our sincere appreciation for travel agents then to give away an ‘Agent Appreciation’ spot on our Nepal trip for simply being a partner who shares our vision of ‘Changing the Way People See the World’?”

To conclude the now four-month incentive campaign, the top 10 agents who have accumulated the most Purpose Points by May 31, and one additional registered agent in a randomly selected draw, will win a free trip to T led by Zand and Intrepid Group’s Co-Founder Geoff Manchester.

Agents can earn points by booking clients on one of Intrepid Group’s 2,700 sustainable tours through its brands Intrepid Travel, Peregrine Adventures and Urban Adventures.

Intrepid’s 10-day Experience Nepal fam, departing Nov. 3, will take agents on a variety of experiences including hiking Nepal’s stunning landscapes and participating in a cooking class with Seven Women, a social enterprise that has changed the lives of more than 1,000 disadvantaged females in Nepal, supported by Intrepid Group’s not-for-profit, The Intrepid Foundation.

Intrepid is the largest trekking operator in Nepal and the company recently received a World Responsible Tourism Award for its year-long Namaste Nepal campaign, a project that raised more than AUD$750,000 for the country.

“As industry continues to be a huge part of Intrepid’s global success, today and every day we want to show our appreciation for travel agents and the work they do to provide clients with a life-changing travel experience,” said Zand.
