Meliá Cuba debuts brand new hotel in Varadero

VARADERO — Meliá Internacional has taken over the name and location of Cuba’s iconic Hotel Internacional Varadero with a brand new hotel ideal for families and couples alike.

Featuring 946 rooms over 11 floors, the new Meliá Internacional is owned by the Gran Caribe hotel group and run by the Meliá Hotels International chain. It offers sprawling views of Varadero beach, recognized by TripAdvisor as the third best beach in the world in 2018.

Features include The Level, an exclusive area within the hotel for discerning guests, as well as The Level Adults Only section, which includes butler service for guests over the age of 18.

There are 15 restaurants on site with options ranging from Japanese cuisine and Italian to Mediterranean and local Cuban dishes. There are also 16 bars for guests to choose from, serving cocktails prepared by master mixologists.

Other amenities include the exclusive Yhi Spa on the hotel’s top floor featuring an infinity pool and a new Teen Spa, a convention centre with seven meeting rooms and a ballroom, as well as a terrace, pool and garden that can accommodate groups and MICE events.
