Mexico’s Tourist Promotion Office in Montreal shuts its doors

MONTREAL — Since Jan. 31 Mexico’s Tourist Promotion Office in Montreal, located at Place Ville Marie, has been closed.

The new address has not been communicated yet, according to Travelweek’s sister publication, ProfessionVoyages.com, who reported the story this week. The office was open to the public as well as the industry.

Fernanda Rosas, Director of Mexico’s Tourism Promotion Board in Montreal, and her collaborators Gabriel Gordona and Lorena Torres are currently working from home and available to help with industry requests, according to ProfessionVoyages.com.

In a few weeks it’s expected that Mexican tourism promotion in Montreal will be deployed under the direction of the Mexican Consulate.

The future is still uncertain for all Tourism Promotion Council of Mexico (CPTM) employees but this latest development could be the start of a string of closures for the Mexico Tourism Board offices worldwide. Click here to read the full story in the Jan. 24, 2019 issue of Travelweek.
