Interjet and Japan Airlines sign interline agreement

MEXICO CITY — Interjet Airlines has signed an interline agreement with Japan Airlines, giving travellers connecting at Vancouver, Los Angeles and Dallas/Ft. Worth easier access to destinations in Asia.

With the new agreement, customers flying through YVR, LAX and DFW can now travel to Asia with the convenience of purchasing a single ticket for flights on either airline, check baggage at their origination to their final destination, and easily connect at the airports served by both carriers.

Japan Airlines customers travelling to Mexico will have the same convenience of a single ticket itinerary, bags checked to their final destination and easy airport connections.

“We are very excited to announce another important interline agreement between Interjet Airlines and Japan Airlines,” said José Luis Garza, General Director for Interjet Airlines. “Our commitment has been to offer our business and leisure travellers everywhere we fly, our unique brand of lower prices with free checked bags on select fares, more legroom between seats and great service that differentiates us from our peer competitors. With this Japan Airlines agreement, we can now offer greater connectivity to more of the world.”

Japan Airlines flies over 148 international routes each day to 52 countries/regions. It has a fleet of more than 230 aircraft that service 349 airports around the world.
