Now open: Pixar Pier at Disney California Adventure Park

ANAHEIM — Pixar Pier is officially open for business at Disney California Adventure Park, kicking off the summer season with beloved Pixar stories and characters.

Having opened its doors on June 23, this newly reimagined land debuts during Pixar Fest, a limited-time celebration of friendly that runs through Sept. 3, 2018 throughout the Disneyland Resort. One of the highlights of Pixar Fest is the new ‘Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular’ fireworks show at Disneyland Park.

Upon arrival at Pixar Pier, guests walk through a marquee that leads to four whimsical neighbourhoods. The first is Incredibles Park, inspired by Disney-Pixar’s ‘The Incredibles’ and home to the Incredicoaster, the first ride-through attraction in the world to feature characters from ‘The Incredibles’ franchise.

Adjacent to Incredibles Park is Toy Story Boardwalk, a neighbourhood with the popular ‘Toy Story Mania!’ attraction and its 4D carnival games. Guests can also get ready to saddle up on Jessie’s Critter Carousel, coming in 2019.

Next to Toy Story Boardwalk is the seaside Pixar Promenade, which celebrates a collection of favourite Pixar stories. The iconic Mickey’s Fun Wheel has been transformed to the Pixar Pal-A-Round, which takes guests up high on 24 freshly decorated gondolas. Pixar Promenade also features the new Games of Pixar Pier where guests can test their skills and win a prize at pay-for-play game booths, and opening later this summer is Bing Bong’s Sweet Stuff, which will offer saltwater taffy and rainbow cotton candy.

Just past Pixar Promenade is Inside Out Headquarters, which was inspired by Joy, Sadness and the emotions of Disney-Pixar’s ‘Inside Out’. This neighbourhood will feature another new family-friendly attraction in 2019.

Guests have a wide range of food and beverage options while visiting Pixar Pier, from the new Lamplight Lounge, which serves a menu of California gastro-pub cuisine, to Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats, already a fan favourite for its soft-serve cones and parfaits. Other options include Jack-Jack Cookie Num Nums in Incredibles Park, Poultry Palace and Señor Buzz Churros at Toy Story Boardwalk, and Angry Dogs at Pixar Promenade.
