We dare you to not cry after watching KLM’s emotional new video

TORONTO – Warning: The following video will make you sob like a baby.

In honour of International Family Day, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines has released a new emotional video that follows the stories of three people currently living in Canada and separated from their loved ones.

The video stars Timothy, a young dancer whose mother and sister live in Hong Kong, Olivia, who hasn’t seen her twin sister from Amsterdam in nearly two years, and Berfin, whose boyfriend lives across the ocean in Manchester.

Their tearful reunions, courtesy of KLM, prove that distance only makes the heart grow fonder.

“Despite living in this ultra-connected age, we all know how difficult living away from a loved one can be. The distance deprives us of the little joys we share on a regular basis, like birthdays and Sunday brunches,” said Roland Coppens, Commercial Director, Air France KLM Canada. “At KLM, we are all about caring and are delighted to create memorable experiences for our customers, like the ones lived by Timothy, Olivia and Berfin.”

KLM is inviting people to join its own extended family by visiting bit.ly/bringingpeopletogether, and entering the ‘Reunite With Your Loved Ones’ contest for a chance to win a pair of tickets to anywhere on its worldwide network in order to see someone they haven’t seen in some time.
