MEXICO CITY — Fiesta Americana and Grand Fiesta Americana parent company Posadas is expanding beyond Mexico and into the Caribbean with new resorts coming to the D.R. and Cuba in 2018 and 2019.

The company says it will open four new properties in Mexico, the D.R. and Cuba this year and next. They include Live Aqua San Miguel De Allende; Grand Fiesta Americana Punta Cana Los Corales All-Inclusive; Fiesta Americana Punta Varadero All-Inclusive and Fiesta Americana Holguín Costa Verde All-Inclusive.

The new developments represent the company’s first international expansion beyond Mexico.

“With these new properties, we are very excited to offer our guests the same five-star treatment and vacation experience that characterizes our brands in new, exciting destinations,” said Rafael Lizarraga, Chief Commercial Officer of La Colección Management Company. “These hotel openings represent the beginning of our international growth to key beach destinations.”

Here’s a quick look at the four new resorts on the way:

LIVE AQUA SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE
The 151-room Live Aqua San Miguel De Allende is expected to open in fall 2018. The urban resort will offer numerous amenities including an outdoor pool and jacuzzi, specialty restaurants, a fully-equipped spa, fitness centre, beauty salon and five meeting and event spaces.

GRAND FIESTA AMERICANA PUNTA CANA LOS CORALES
The Grand Fiesta Americana brand is coming to the coastal town of Playa Bavaro in summer 2019. Located 20 minutes from Punta Cana International Airport, Grand Fiesta Americana Punta Cana Los Corales All-inclusive will be the brand’s 9th property and first hotel in the Caribbean. The US$130 million-dollar development broke ground in December 2017. The resort will have 558 guestrooms, five-star amenities and beach activities including snorkelling, paddle boarding and kayaking.

FIESTA AMERICANA PUNTA VARADERO ALL-INCLUSIVE & FIESTA AMERICANA HOLGUIN COSTA VERDE ALL-INCLUSIVE
Posadas’ Fiesta Americana brand is set to make its debut in Cuba on July 1 with two new properties in Playa Varadero and Playa Pesquero. Fiesta Americana Punta Varadero All-Inclusive will be located in Playa Varadero and will feature 633 guestrooms, four pools including a special kid’s pool, a spa, several restaurants and bars and more than one kilometre of white-sand beachfront.

Another property, Fiesta Americana Holguin Costa Verde All-Inclusive will be located a few kilometres south in Playa Pesquero in Holguin. Offering direct access to a pristine beach, the resort will include 749 guestrooms, four pools, a spa, as well as a number of restaurants and bars.
