Introducing Air Canada’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner

TORONTO — Air Canada’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner is being heralded as a game-changer. The brand new aircraft offers superior comfort ideal for a long-haul route like Air Canada’s year-round flights to Melbourne, up and running since June 1.

Larger cabins make for a more comfortable flight and larger overhead bins give passengers that much more space for storage. The state-of-the-art aircraft also feature filtered fresh air, making long-haul travel a breeze and helping make sure passengers arrive rested, relaxed and ready to go.

Travellers taking flight on Air Canada’s Boeing 787 Dreamliners can choose between Economy Class, Premium Economy and Air Canada Signature Class.

Economy Class has a convenient 3x3x3 configuration, offers complimentary wines, spirits and meals, plus hours of on-demand entertainment to make the hours in the sky that much more enjoyable. Each passenger has access to their own personal touchscreen TV with single-pin audio jack for their own headset or free, yours-to-keep noise-cancelling headphones. There’s also an adjustable, foldable headrest plus a pillow and blanket, great for passengers looking to lean back, relax and catch some zzzzzs.

With Premium Economy, passengers get all of the above amenities plus enhanced comforts including priority airport services, larger seats with extra legroom, 11” enhanced-definition intuitive touchscreen TVs and hundreds of hours of top-rated on-demand entertainment. Premium Economy seats offer a 2x3x2 configuration.

In Air Canada Signature Class, the onboard experience is second to none. Air Canada Signature Class passengers enjoy superior dining and beverage service plus the ultimate in comfort with seating in Executive Pods in a 1x2x1 configuration, featuring an adjustable cushion system that extends to an 80” lie-flat bed.

Executive Pods also have adjustable pneumatic headrests and cushions as well as lumbar support and massage functions.

Want to tuck in for the night? Air Canada Signature Class passengers can snuggle up with a 100% cotton duvet, plush pillow and quilted mattress pad. Or they can while away the hours checking out the latest releases on a state-of-the-art entertainment system with an 18” touchscreen TV, video touch handset and noise-cancelling headphones.

All passengers in all classes also have access to power ports, at every seat in Air Canada Signature Class and Premium Economy, and between the seats in Economy. Each power port offers an 110 volt connection with no adapter required.

Helping passengers adjust to their new time zone, the Boeing 787 Dreamliners also comes with full spectrum LED lighting to ease jet lag when crossing time zones.
