Tourists get the surprise of their lives when they roll up next to this celebrity on her way to the Oscars

LOS ANGELES — Celebrity tours are a dime a dozen, especially in a city like Los Angeles, and especially on Hollywood’s biggest night of the year. But one LA-based tour company went above and beyond the call of duty by delivering the ultimate celebrity sighting on Sunday afternoon.

Access Hollywood Tours in Los Angeles inadvertently got a major plug from Aussie actress Nicole Kidman, who rolled up next to one of its tour buses at a red light in downtown L.A. The Academy Award winner, who won Best Actress for her role as novelist Virginia Woolf in the 2003 film ‘The Hours’, rolled down her window and greeted a small group of flabbergasted fans while on her way to getting primped for the Oscars ceremony on Sunday.

The entire exchange was caught on film by a friend of Kidman’s, who was also in the car. The video has since been uploaded to the actress’ Instagram account, where it has garnered over 160,000 views since yesterday. In the video, the female fans can be seen waving, laughing and snapping pics of the actress on their phones before Kidman gleefully drives away.

No word as to whether the tourists encountered any other celebrities on their tour, but we’re guessing that a chance encounter with one of Hollywood’s biggest stars got them their money’s worth.
