Carousel Holidays co-founder Vic Palermo had a passion for travel

TORONTO — Carousel Holidays co-founder Vic Palermo passed away Jan. 4 at the age of 76, surrounded by his loved ones.

The visitation will be at Turner and Porter, York Chapel, 2357 Bloor St. West (east of Jane subway station), in Toronto on Tues. Jan. 9 from 2 – 4 p.m. and 6 – 9 p.m.

The funeral will be Wed. Jan. 10 at 11 a.m. at Islington United Church, 25 Burnhamthorpe Road, Etobicoke with a reception to follow at Islington Golf and Country Club, 45 Riverbank Drive, says Vic’s wife, Gail Palermo.

Vic and Gail raised three children, Lena, Elizabeth and Louisa, and Vic was much-loved as ‘Mumeek’ to his grandchildren Sawyer, Isabella, Hazel and Victor.

Born in 1941 in Toronto, Vic was a lawyer and successful businessman, co-founding Carousel Holidays. He had a passion for travel and loved his winters in Florida.

His family says he will be remembered as a true gentleman and a gifted storyteller with a wonderful sense of humour.
