Andaz Peninsula Papagayo trip for Travel Edge’s top performers

TORONTO — More than 70 advisors, supplier partners and Travel Edge management from Canada, the U.S. and Bermuda took to the sun-kissed shores of Costa Rica for host agency Travel Edge’s annual Top Performers trip at Andaz Peninsula Papagayo Hotel & Resort.

The ultimate ‘bleisure’ experience included a full schedule of adventure excursions, including everything from whitewater rafting to rainforest ATV rides, and was capped off with a special awards dinner.

“Travel Edge’s Top Performers trip is not only about recognizing our advisors who have generated the highest revenues,” said Cheryl Nicholson, Executive VP Leisure, Travel Edge. “It’s also our way of saying thank you to those individuals, for putting their trust in us and allowing us to be their businesses’ main source of support.”

The weekend getaway, hosted by Travel Edge in collaboration with a number of sponsors such as American Airlines, Uniworld, WestJet, Swiss Travel and Celebrity, included both classically touristic and culturally-infused activities such as pottery painting, mixology classes, a tour of Palo Verde National Park and a ride through rainforest rapids. Evenings were spent networking with luxury supplier partners and fellow travel advisors over cocktails.

The Travel Network’s Carolyn Farha said this type of experiential networking provides the kind of support that helps her reach her own goals as an advisor, adding, “I’m so grateful that Travel Edge recognizes my efforts and results with a Top Performers trip. It’s a perfect opportunity to meet peers from different cities and a great way to celebrate all our hard work.”
