Vision Travel makes another acquisition in Ontario

TORONTO — Vision Travel Solutions is joining forces with travel agency owners Peter and Linda Van Der Heyden. The agreement is scheduled to be finalized by the end of the month subject to customary conditions.

With 12 locations across southern Ontario, the family-owned operation specializes in leisure, corporate and group travel.

“Peter has built a great organization and we look forward to welcoming both him and his team into the Vision Travel family,” says Vision Travel President Brian Robertson.

“As much as we are now a global company, this acquisition will create a much stronger network of brick and mortar locations across Ontario, complementing our personalized approach to travel.”

Van Der Heyden said Vision Travel’s focus on service was a key factor in joining forces with Vision and its membership in Virtuoso “is a perfect fit for our luxury clientele.” Van Der Heyden adds: “I am confident that our staff and clients will see immediate benefits of being part of Vision Travel.”

Van Der Hayden will join the leadership team of Vision Travel.

Vision Travel held its ‘Power of Vision’ conference in Toronto earlier this month. The company made a number of high-profile moves in September, including the acquisition of Travel Sensations Downtown in Toronto and WD World Travel in Vancouver.

In an interview at the Power of Vision conference Robertson said Vision Travel was still very much in growth mode and looking for more agencies.
