Riu Palace Paradise Island in the Bahamas makes the switch to adults-only

BAHAMAS — Following a top-to-bottom renovation, the Riu Palace Paradise Island in the Bahamas has reopened as an adults-only, 24-hour, all-inclusive hotel.

Part of the RIU Hotels & Resorts chain since 2005, and located on Paradise Island, the hotel offers 379 rooms that come complete with a minibar, beverage dispensers, air conditioning and a coffee maker. There’s also free Wi-Fi in all areas of the hotel and two swimming pools, one of which features a swim-up bar.

Guests certainly won’t go hungry at the hotel as it also boasts five restaurants, including the main restaurant where a large breakfast buffet is complemented by show cooking stations. The hotel also has a daily barbecue station next to the pool and four à la carte restaurants: Japanese, steakhouse, fusion cuisine, and Indian.

As for entertainment, the Riu Palace Paradise Island offers a program that includes live music and shows as well as a number of sport activities. There’s a gym, beach volleyball, windsurfing, snorkelling and kayaking nearby the hotel, plus the Renova Spa where guests can enjoy a sauna, Jacuzzi and an extensive list of beauty treatments.

Other perks include a welcome glass of champagne, concierge service, premium beverages throughout the hotel, bathrobes in all rooms, turndown service and, for an additional charge, a special wine list and a romantic dinner on the beach.
