Air Canada has ticket change policy ahead of Typhoon Lan

TORONTO — With the approach of Typhoon Lan Air Canada has issued travel alerts for passengers flying to and from Japan.

Air Canada passengers who purchased an Air Canada ticket no later than Oct. 19 and whose itinerary includes a flight to, from or via an airport in Japan between Oct. 20 and Oct. 24 can change their flight, free of charge, to another date between now and Nov. 7, subject to availability in the cabin originally purchased. Otherwise, any fare difference will apply.

Passengers may also choose to travel to an alternate destination. Any change fees will be waived provided travel takes place between now and Nov. 7. Fare differences will apply.

The policy applies to Air Canada’s flights into Nagoya (NGO), Osaka (KIX) and Tokyo (HND and NRT).
