Bookings for Royal Caribbean’s largest cruise ship open today

MIAMI — Travel agents can get a jumpstart on the 2018-2019 cruise season now that Royal Caribbean has opened bookings for its new Symphony of the Seas, considered the world’s largest cruise ship and the cruise line’s newest addition to its fleet.

The highly anticipated ship will be delivered in April 2018 and spend her inaugural summer season calling on ports in Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca (Spain), Provence (France), Florence/Pisa, Rome and Naples. She will then arrive in Miami in early November along with Oasis-class sister ship Allure of the Seas to begin seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries from the new PortMiami Terminal A, which broke ground today.

Symphony’s inaugural year of Europe and Caribbean itineraries officially open for bookings today through travel agents, while bookings on RoyalCaribbean.com will open on March 9. Allure of the Seas’ 2018-2019 itineraries will open for sale later this month.

Upon completion, Symphony of the Seas will claim the title of the world’s largest cruise ship, offering 28 more staterooms than her newest sister ship Harmony of the Seas. She will boast a seven-neighbourhood concept, Bionic Bar robot bartenders, Broadway-caliber entertainment, the iconic AquaTheater, the Perfect Storm trio of waterslides, and the Ultimate Abyss, the tallest slide at sea.
