Pregnant travel agent completes bookings in the midst of labour

LIVERPOOL — One woman in the U.K. has proven that women – and travel agents – are indeed superheroes.

According to Travel Weekly UK, 27-year-old Toni Linney, a home-based agent for Not Just Travel, Northwest in Liverpool, performed the ultimate multi-tasking miracle when she completed two client bookings while in labour with her first child.

If you’re wondering what would entice her to do such a thing, the bookings were worth around Cdn $15,000.

Linney said she had received two client enquiries the same morning she checked into Liverpool Women’s Hospital. Rather than sitting in her hospital bed passing the time between contractions, she kept herself busy by calling hotels to ask about prices as well as tour operator Travelpack on behalf of a family of four wanting to go to Dubai.

Both bookings were completed and paid for by the following afternoon, just in time for the arrival of baby Florence Evelyn Rood at 11:23 p.m.

If that’s not dedication to the job, we don’t know what is!
