Visit U.S. Virgin Islands in 2017 and receive $300 spending credit

ST. THOMAS — The U.S. Virgin Islands is paying travellers to visit the destination – sounds too good to be true, right?

In honour of its 100th year as a U.S. territory, the destination is offering US$300 in Virgin Islands spending credits to travellers who spend a minimum three consecutive nights on St. Thomas. St. John and/or St. Croix. Credits can be redeemed for cultural tours and activities.

In addition, to commemorate the actual day Denmark sold the islands to the United States on March 31, any visitor who arrives during the month of March will receive a commemorative souvenir.

The booking window runs from Oct. 1, 2016 to Oct. 1, 2017, for travel before Dec. 31, 2017. Booking code is CP17.

Participating hotels in St. Croix include: The Buccaneer; Caravelle Hotel & Casino; Chenay Bay Beach Resort; Club Comanche Hotel; Divi Carina Bay Resort & Casino; Holger Danske Hotel; Mt.
