Goway’s Holidays of a Lifetime return for 2017, led by 20-day Waltzing Matilda

TORONTO — Goway has brought back its Holidays of a Lifetime for 2017, combining the best of both Australia and New Zealand to create a one-of-a-kind holiday, the Waltzing Matilda. The 20-day guided experience blends the eight-day Best of New Zealand with the 13-day Best of Australia.

The trip starts with three days in Sydney followed by a flight to North Queensland to see the Great Barrier Reef and the World Heritage Daintree Rainforest. A few days are spent exploring on the reef and with wildlife, then the tour continues through Australia’s famous ‘Red Centre’. Clients can visit Adelaide, the festival city, on the Ghan Train, before the final stop in Melbourne.

From there it’s on to New Zealand, first landing in Christchurch and then heading to Queenstown. There’s a cruise on Milford Sound, the glow-worm caves at Waitomo and the Hobbiton set in Matamata (where The Lord of the Rings triology was filmed) with the final stop in Auckland.

Goway Holidays of a Lifetime include most meals, touring and tips with each departure including a specific theme such as Animal and Wildlife, Food and Wine, or Geography and History.

A single traveller will be matched with another single traveller of the same gender, following the Twin Share Guarantee. If no roommate is available, a single room will be provided at no extra charge.

The tours are directed for first time visitors, couples and single travellers, and small groups. High commissions and guaranteed departures make for an excellent suggestion for travel agents, says Goway. When surveyed on a recent tour, Goway says a client commented, “it was more expensive than other tour companies but was well worth it.” See goway.com.
