Take a tour of MSC Cruises’ new MSC Meraviglia

GENEVA — With just a year to go until its highly anticipated launch, MSC Cruises has released new details of MSC Meraviglia, the company’s first next-generation smart ship.

MSC Meraviglia, whose first cruise will sail on June 4, 2017, will boast some of the high sea’s most impressive amenities and facilities. An exclusive partnership with Cirque du Soleil will result in two evening shows, six nights per week, at the purpose-built Carousel Lounge. In addition, the cruise line will offer an exclusive on-site dinner service for up to 100 of the 450 guests booked for the show, a unique experience that cannot be had anywhere else at sea.

In addition, for the first time on any MSC Cruises ship, all facilities for families, kids and teens will be gathered together in a super amusement park and children’s area. This means families have a dedicated area specially designed for their needs, providing a safe place for their children. This area will include the DOREMI Studio Lounge, a dedicated lounge for all family activities, and the DOREMI Tech Lab, a must-visit destination for kids who love technology.

There’ll also be an onboard Aqua Park featuring four water slides, a splash pool and champagne bowl, plus the Himalayan Bridge, which allows thrill-seekers to cross the ship, by rope, nearly 200 feet above the water.

For those seeking luxury, an enhanced MSC Yacht Club will span three decks and feature 78 suites, 15 inside staterooms and two apartments. The two apartment suites are designed with a large living room and two balconies, one of which is a large outdoor space that has a dining table for eating al fresco and a private whirlpool. MSC Yacht Club also comes with key benefits such as access to the Top Sail Lounge, an entirely self-contained private club featuring a private pool, whirlpool baths and solarium.

If you’ve got multi-generational clients, be sure to tell them about the ship’s innovative modular staterooms system, which is completely unique to MSC Cruises. Up to three staterooms can be combined to accommodate up to 10 guests. In addition, quadruple staterooms can accommodate a family of up to four people each, with a living space and sofa bed.

As for dining, guests will be spoilt for choice with 12 fine and casual dining options. These include a buffet (open 20 hours a day), the award-winning Kaito Sushi Bar, the new Kaito Teppanyaki Restaurant and an American-style steakhouse.

Other onboard features include an impressive Mediterranean-style indoor promenade featuring a 262-foot LED sky, an 82-foot-long main pool, an indoor pool with a magrodome, the Aft Pool, and the private One Deck Pool, exclusively for the use of MSC Yacht Club guests.
