MIAMI – Karisma Hotels & Resorts and Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) broke ground on the highly anticipated Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya this week. Scheduled to open in December 2017, it’s the second property in the luxurious collection of five-star experiential resorts, and will follow the grand opening of Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana this summer.

The new resort in Riviera Maya will boast 288 swim-up and infinity suites, each with its own pool on a private terrace or balcony. Kids will be delighted by surprise ‘slimings’ and unexpected visits from Nickelodeon characters, while adults will appreciate world-class dining at six Gourmet Inclusive restaurants, including two oceanfront eateries, four bars and lounges, and a one-of-a kind food truck experience.

The first floors of both main buildings will be comprised of swim-up suites that boast direct access to swimming pools and swim-up bars, while floors two through six will host the infinity pool suites with ocean views. There’ll also be 24-hour room service and family-friendly amenities like complimentary baby food, strollers and cribs.

At the heart of the resort will be Nickelodeon Place, which will include Just Kiddin’, a hangout for kids, Character Central where young guests can meet Dora the Explorer, SpongeBob Square Pants and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, as well as water features and a kid’s spa.

For a break from all the fun, guests can indulge in a signature spa treatment at Nickelodeon Spa-ahh, featuring individual suites, couple’s suite, a luxurious bridal suite and al fresco outdoor treatment areas. Weddings are also available at the new resort, which will include a beachfront gazebo and signature Sky Wedding location featuring 360-degree views from the private rooftop terrace.

Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Riviera Maya will begin accepting reservations in early 2017 for stays starting in December 2017. Reservations are currently being accepted for Nickelodeon Hotels & Resorts Punta Cana for stays starting June 12.
