TORONTO — Sunwing Vacations is returning to Hamilton next winter for a third season with an extended program of flights to both Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic and Varadero, Cuba.

The airline doubled capacity last winter with the introduction of the Punta Cana route and will be beginning operations from mid-November this year, running until mid-April 2016.

“We are very pleased to be offering more flights to Punta Cana and Varadero from Hamilton next winter,” said Andrew Dawson, Chief Operating Officer of the Sunwing Travel Group. “Both destinations are extremely popular with Sunwing customers, offering year-round mild and sunny climates and spectacular beaches. Additionally, this winter guests can choose from several of our newly-opened resorts in Punta Cana and Varadero.”

Both destinations offer a wide range of accommodation options to suit all tastes such as CHIC Punta Cana, part of Sunwing’s Adults Collection; Memories Jibacoa, located in between Cuba’s historical capital, Havana and the lively resort town of Varadero; Memories Splash Punta Cana Resort and Spa with complimentary access to the largest waterpark in the Caribbean; and Royalton Punta Cana Resort and Casino with a wide program of daily activities and evening entertainment.

A week at Memories Splash Punta Cana starts from $945 plus $430 taxes per person based on two people sharing a Deluxe Room on an all-inclusive basis and departing from Hamilton on Nov. 13, 20, 27 and Dec. 4, 2015.
